About the cemetery
Arlington Memorial Park was founded in 1927 and began accepting burials in 1928. The cemetery was founded to give southeast Rockford a cemetery. We are non-secetarian which means we are not affiliated with any religious denomination. We are a 501c13 non-profit cemetery association . We answered to a board of directors made up of cemetery space owners.
Today, people from all parts of Rockford, all over the area and even people who left Rockford but wished to be returned for their final resting spot, are all buried at Arlington. You can have a full burial or a cremation burial at the cemetery. We have a couple of extra options for cremation burial besides the spaces in the main cemetery.
